Was ist Claude überhaupt?
Claude ist ein KI-Assistent, entwickelt von Anthropic – einem amerikanischen Unternehmen, das 2021 von ehemaligen OpenAI-Mitarbeitern gegründet wurde. Der Fokus von Anthropic liegt auf einer Sache: sichere und verlässliche KI zu bauen. Und das merkt man Claude an.
Was macht Claude besonders? Er liefert nuancierte, lange und durchdachte Antworten. Er folgt Anweisungen sehr genau. Und er ist besonders stark in allem rund um Texte, Analyse und komplexes Denken – das sind genau die Dinge, bei denen viele andere KI-Tools schwächeln.
Account erstellen: Browser oder Desktop App
Öffne deinen Browser und geh auf claude.ai. Klick auf „Anmelden" oder „Registrieren". Du kannst dich mit einem Google-Konto, einem Microsoft-Konto oder einer E-Mail-Adresse anmelden – ganz wie du möchtest.
Der kostenlose Account ist sofort aktiv. Keine Wartezeit, keine Kreditkarte. Du kannst Claude innerhalb von zwei Minuten zum ersten Mal ausprobieren.
Alternativ gibt es eine Desktop App für Windows und Mac, die du direkt auf claude.ai herunterladen kannst. Der Vorteil der Desktop App: Claude kann dann auch auf Dateien auf deinem Computer zugreifen – Dokumente, Bilder, PDFs. Das ist praktisch, wenn du regelmäßig mit eigenen Inhalten arbeitest.
Das Interface verstehen
Wenn du dich einloggst, siehst du ein schlichtes Interface. Links ist deine Konversations-Historie – alle bisherigen Chats auf einen Blick. Oben links startest du ein neues Gespräch. In der Mitte ist das Eingabefeld – dort schreibst du deine Frage oder Aufgabe.
Zwei Dinge sind besonders wichtig zu kennen:
- Projects: Das sind gesammelte Gespräche zu einem bestimmten Thema – mit einem gemeinsamen, dauerhaften Kontext. Sehr praktisch, wenn du regelmäßig an einem Projekt arbeitest und Claude immer wieder denselben Hintergrund kennen soll.
- Artifacts: Wenn Claude etwas erstellt – ein Dokument, eine Webseite, eine Tabelle, Code – öffnet es sich als eigenes Fenster neben dem Chat. Du kannst es direkt kopieren, herunterladen oder weiterbearbeiten.
Deinen ersten Chat starten
Jetzt wird es konkret. Schreib in das Eingabefeld: Hallo Claude – erkläre mir in drei einfachen Sätzen, was du bist. Schick es ab. Und schau, was passiert.
Das war dein erster Chat. Kein Setup, kein Prompt-Engineering, kein Tutorial nötig. Claude versteht natürliche Sprache – schreib einfach so, wie du sprechen würdest. Der Unterschied zu einer Suchmaschine: Du bekommst keine Liste von Links, sondern eine direkte, durchdachte Antwort.
Nächster Test: Gib Claude eine echte Aufgabe aus deinem Alltag. Eine E-Mail formulieren. Eine Liste erstellen. Etwas erklären lassen. Einen Text zusammenfassen. Du wirst sofort merken, wie viel Zeit das spart.
3 Tipps für den Einstieg
Drei Dinge, die sofort den Unterschied machen:
- Rolle vorgeben: Sag Claude, in welcher Rolle er antworten soll. „Du bist ein erfahrener Texter" oder „Du bist mein Assistent für Kundenkommunikation." Das verbessert die Qualität der Antworten sofort – weil Claude dann einen klaren Rahmen hat.
- Nachbessern: Wenn eine Antwort nicht passt, sag einfach warum. „Das ist zu formell." oder „Mach das kürzer." oder „Ich brauche das auf Englisch." Claude lernt innerhalb des Gesprächs und passt sich an.
- Dateien hochladen: Claude kann PDFs, Word-Dokumente, Bilder und Tabellen lesen und analysieren. Zieh sie einfach ins Eingabefeld – oder klick auf das Büroklammer-Symbol. Verträge durchsuchen, Berichte zusammenfassen, Daten auswerten.

Two things are especially important to know about:
- Projects: These are grouped conversations on a specific topic, sharing a persistent context. Very useful if you regularly work on a project and want Claude to always have the same background knowledge.
- Artifacts: When Claude creates something – a document, a webpage, a spreadsheet, code – it opens as its own panel next to the chat. You can copy it, download it, or keep editing it directly.
Starting your first chat
Now let's get practical. Type into the input field: Hello Claude – explain what you are in three simple sentences. Hit send. And see what happens.
That was your first chat. No setup, no prompt engineering, no tutorial needed. Claude understands natural language – just write the way you'd speak. The difference from a search engine: you don't get a list of links. You get a direct, thoughtful answer.
Next test: give Claude a real task from your daily life. Draft an email. Build a list. Have something explained. Summarise a document. You'll immediately notice how much time it saves.
3 tips to get started right
- Give Claude a role: Tell it what role to take on. "You are an experienced copywriter" or "You are my assistant for customer communication." This immediately improves answer quality – because Claude has a clear frame of reference.
- Refine and follow up: If an answer isn't quite right, just say why. "That's too formal." or "Make it shorter." or "I need this in English." Claude adapts within the conversation.
- Upload files: Claude can read and analyse PDFs, Word documents, images, and spreadsheets. Just drag them into the input field or click the paperclip icon. Search contracts, summarise reports, analyse data.
